- MacTel: First Macintosh computers with Intel - Apple announced new computers with the Intel Core Duo and Solo processors, the iMac and Mac Book Pro. The later having possibly one of the worst names for a computer ever. Matt and Mike debate processors and other geeky nuances.

As Kansas voted for ID, 8 Dover school board members were ousted for being pro-ID! And the ever-entertaing and scary Pat Robertson says to expect a disaster because of this. Can't wait for that to not happen...
- New wind turbine design ready for production - A new vertical-axis wind turbine design resolves some of the shortcomings that have plagued the traditional propeller design. It is more efficient, sits closer to the ground, and has many advantages over propellors.

I just built my new box, with an AMD, and it is running great. Obviously when talking about quality you're talking about trends, but this system build was one of the least painful I've been through from a hardware perspective. It powered up on the first boot and the only glitch was how I connected the front USB ports.
Also, that debate went on way too long during the episode. ^_^
